BLOGGING: RSS

So have you ever noticed the little RSS icon in the the little browser text field where you enter urls when you surf the internet? It stands for Really Simple Syndication.

Usually the icon either looks like this one or the blue one above. When you see it and click on it it allows you to subscribe to the blog or website you are viewing so that each time new content is added you will receive an alert to let you know. Otherwise you have to click over all of the time to see if there's anything new.

I use NetNewsWire for mac. It's a program that basically organizes all of the RSS feeds you subscribe to. If you're on PC you can use Feedreader and download it to your computer. Then you can start subscribing to your favorite blogs, news media outlets and podcasts.

Please note: Not all submissions will be approved. Criteria for a listing on Best Bridal Blogs are both quality and frequency of posts. If your submission is denied we'll let you know why. If you really want to be listed here you're welcome to reapply once the issue has been resolved. The more the merrier! We prefer a minimum of 2 posts per week but 6 per month is also acceptable until more of you get into blogging. Listings on this site are reserved for brides and The Flirty Guide Professionals
